This garment has graphene ink printing inside the garment. Graphic properties allow to improve the benefits in textiles, such as thermoregulation, absorption of moisture and air permeability, and can improve sports performance and offer users greater comfort.
Graphene was isolated for the first time at the University of Manchester in 2004. It is an ultra thin and light material that is 200 times stronger than steel and is the stronger material known by man. In addition to this, graphene has many other benefits that include thermal conductivity, absorption properties and superior drying speeds.
Umbro It has been associated with Versarien PLC, which is a group of advanced engineering materials to understand how graphene can be used in sports performance products to improve performance and benefit the user. Versarien has worked closely with the University of Manchester to understand the properties of graphene and how it can be integrated into existing products using a variety of different applications. They have also worked with other leading universities in the United Kingdom to test and evaluate the benefits of graphene can provide.
One of these applications is Graphene-Wear, which consists of applying graphene ink to garments to provide additional benefits to the user. Controlled tests were performed on products with and without the application of graphene ink to understand how it affected performance.
